About the role
What You Will Do
As an Commercial Account Manager supporting the AMS organization from our Plano, Texas office, you will manage a defined portfolio of commercial accounts and help drive growth across the customer lifecycle. You will identify and develop new opportunities, support renewals and expansion, and coordinate with field sales, technical, channel, marketing, and operations partners to deliver a responsive, customer-focused sales experience. This individual contributor role is designed for a developing sales professional who can execute established sales processes, manage day-to-day account activity, and build the judgment and business acumen needed to take on broader account responsibility.
- Manage day-to-day sales activity for an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, including prospecting, qualification, follow-up, and account engagement.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline by responding to inbound interest, conducting targeted outbound outreach, and identifying new business, renewal, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Support the full sales cycle by coordinating discovery, product demonstrations, pricing, configurations, quotes, approvals, contract steps, purchase orders, and deal closure.
- Develop trusted relationships with customers, distributors, resellers, and internal partners to support customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term growth.
- Partner with field sales, technical teams, Marketing, Channel, Deal Desk, Legal, Order Management, and Sales Operations to advance opportunities and resolve routine deal needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely opportunity, pipeline, activity, and forecast information in Salesforce, following established sales processes and documentation standards.
- Build knowledge of Forescout solutions, commercial customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to communicate value clearly and improve sales effectiveness.
What You Bring to Forescout
- 2 or more years of sales, account management, business development, customer-facing, or related commercial experience; experience in technology, software, IT, or cybersecurity is preferred.
- Working knowledge of prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting, and customer relationship practices, with the ability to apply established sales processes consistently.
- Clear written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain customer value and collaborate across teams.
- Experience using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to organize account information and support business decisions.
- Customer-focused, organized, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and adaptable team player who seeks feedback, learns quickly, and operates effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Ability to work from the Plano, Texas office in alignment with team expectations and to travel occasionally for customer or industry events, as business needs require.
