At ERM, we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Consulting Senior Associate, Engineer or Geologist to join our growing team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry-leading technical experts on complex site investigation and remediation projects across the Atlantic Central Business Unit and throughout the United States. As a Senior Consultant, Engineer or Geologist, you'll play a critical role in supporting site investigation and remediation projects that help industrial clients manage environmental risks, protect natural resources, and maintain regulatory compliance. Your work will directly contribute to project success while providing valuable opportunities to develop technical expertise across ERM's broad service offerings.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, geologists, scientists, and environmental professionals to deliver high-quality solutions that create positive outcomes for clients and communities.

- Support site investigation and remediation projects from planning through field execution and reporting.
- Help collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data that informs key project decisions.
- Apply the latest site investigation and remediation technologies alongside experienced technical professionals.
- Contribute to safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery across diverse industrial and environmental settings.
- Build strong technical and project management skills while working on projects locally and across the United States.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical environmental solutions for complex challenges.
What You'll Bring
Required
- BS in geology, hydrogeology, geological engineering, civil engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of professional work experience or related internship experience.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or GIS.
- Field work experience.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Local candidates preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field activities including soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water sampling.
- Support aquifer testing, drilling oversight, soil logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, well development, purging, sampling, and subcontractor oversight.
- Coordinate direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
- Assist with data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.
- Focus on project delivery while working under the direction of Project Managers.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with scientists across site investigation, risk management, and planning disciplines as part of integrated project teams.
- Work closely with engineers involved in design and construction projects.
- Deliver work within established quality, budget, schedule, and scope expectations.
- Communicate and interact effectively with subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and project team members.
- Support a variety of site investigation and remediation projects at industrial facilities and related sites throughout the Atlantic Central Business Unit and other U.S. locations.
- Participate in additional projects that may span the full spectrum of ERM's global service offerings.
