We are seeking an experienced M&A Associate to join our Corporate Development team and drive strategic growth through high-impact transactions. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of M&A deals - from target screening and due diligence to valuation analysis and integration planning - while preparing investment memoranda and presentations for senior management and the board. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial modeling and valuation, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills. With at least 2+ years of investment banking experience or equivalent, you will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and play a critical role in shaping our company's strategic direction.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,936 - $184,478 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position is open to hybrid applicants based in the Bay Area. This role will require in-office work 2-3 days a week.
What You'll Do:
- Support the end-to-end process for M&A transactions, including target screening, due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess the strategic fit of potential targets.
- Conduct industry and market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and strategic opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to support investment recommendations.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
- Work closely with internal teams including finance, legal, operations, and external advisors to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Assist in the planning and execution of post-merger integration efforts, ensuring the realization of projected synergies.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Ideally 2+ years as an Investment Banking Analyst or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated sell-side experience in M&A transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation and due diligence.
- Strong financial, research, analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A collaborative mindset with a strong attention to detail.
