The Senior Financial Analyst will support the full FP&A cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, performance analysis, and long-range planning. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities with commercial curiosity and the ability to operate across licensing, retail, physical products, and direct-to-consumer business models. Experience with consumer products, entertainment, retail, or e-commerce would be particularly valuable.
We are considering applicants for the location of Los Angeles.

You will handle the monthly analysis of actual business performance, working with accounting and business teams to consolidate and interpret financial information. With your excellent interpersonal skills, you will need to build strong relationships across all levels of the company. - Lead and coordinate budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for the Merchandise lines of business.
- Build and maintain financial models covering revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and inventory.
- Develop financial assumptions in partnership with business owners, including unit volumes, pricing, royalty rates, product costs, distribution costs, returns, markdowns, and product release timing.
- Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for new product launches, licensing arrangements, retail programs, and strategic investments.
- Ensure forecasts appropriately reflect product seasonality, release schedules, customer ordering patterns, and inventory lead times.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages covering actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
- Produce clear variance analysis across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, inventory, and contribution margin.
- Work closely with Accounting to support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closes.
- Coordinate with Sony Pictures finance, sales, operations, and distribution stakeholders where responsibilities are shared across the companies.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve forecasting, reporting, and performance management processes.
About You
As our FP&A Senior Analyst you will own the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful performance analysis of Crunchyroll’s Merchandise portfolio.
