Director of Product Management - AI

The Role:

CommerceIQ is pioneering a new frontier in retail tech by building the Retailer Copilot with Agents. This is a next-generation AI platform to empower retail teams with intelligent, autonomous workflows.

We’re seeking a curious, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Director of Product Management with an AI focus to join our incubation team. You’ll be at the intersection of cutting-edge LLM technologies and real-world retail execution problems, helping conceptualize, prototype, test, and scale agent-based solutions across our customer base. <span>A note that this is an individual contributor role.</span>

AI-Native Product Thinking

• Identify and validate customer pain points that are ripe for agent-based automation.
• Own the AI-first product strategy: leverage LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, and tool use to craft intelligent workflows.
• Design and evaluate product concepts with agentic behavior, personalization, and embedded intelligence.

Rapid Prototyping & Testing

• Create and test AI-driven prototypes, either hands-on or with the support of forward-deployed engineers.
• Drive quick iteration cycles using real customer feedback, eval metrics, and qualitative insights.
• Build a repeatable framework to test and prioritize use cases and agent behaviors.

Customer Discovery & Co-Creation

• Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with senior retail & e-commerce stakeholders.
• Translate ambiguous customer workflows into structured agent-enabled solutions.
• Evangelize concepts early and build conviction with pilot partners.

Use Case Library & Playbooks

• Develop a structured, living library of agent use cases across functions and retailers.
• Create internal playbooks and blueprints for agent design, AI evaluation, and success criteria.

Cross-Functional Execution

• Collaborate closely with Applied AI, Forward Deployed Engineering, Design, and GTM teams.
• Operate as a mini-CEO of your use cases, from exploration to launch and customer adoption
