About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, agile, and self-driven Senior Associate to join our dynamic legal team. You will act as a primary legal anchor for our high-growth digital assets, tech products, and corporate commercial verticals. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with Product, Tech, and Marketing teams to enable business growth while robustly managing regulatory and commercial risks.
What You Will Do:
1. Commercial Contracting & Vendor Management
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize high-value commercial agreements including vendor contracts, marketing agreements, influencer tie-ups, and strategic partnerships.
- Review and standardize Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and technology licensing contracts to safeguard company interests.
2. Regulatory Advisory & Product Enablement
- Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory opinions on existing offerings and proposed product changes, specifically focusing on tech platforms and crypto/digital asset frameworks.
- Partner with Product and Tech teams to conduct regulatory feasibility assessments during the conceptualization and launch phases of new features.
3. User Governance & Platform Policies
- Draft, revise, and maintain platform Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), user agreements, and privacy policies in line with evolving digital and data regulations.
- Ensure user journey and compliance flows on our applications are legally sound and risk-mitigated.
4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Manage the company’s active litigation portfolio, maintaining complete oversight of ongoing legal disputes.
- Brief, coordinate, and align strategies with outside counsels, senior advocates, and legal advisors to draft pleadings, written submissions, and handle court matters effectively.
5. Intellectual Property Portfolio Management
- Provide clear legal assessments and clearance opinions on trademark, patent, and copyright matters.
- Coordinate with external IP firms for filing new applications, managing the existing brand/IP repository across Group companies, and handling enforcement actions.
Candidate Qualifications & Skills
- Education: LL.B or LL.M from a recognized law school or university.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) practicing corporate-commercial law. Prior experience working inside fintechs, web3/crypto entities, or leading law firms' tech-commercial practices is highly preferred.
- Drafting Excellence: Exceptional drafting skills with a sharp eye for commercial nuances and risk allocation in contracts.
- Tech Savviness: Strong conceptual understanding of tech frameworks, web3, digital assets, and data privacy regulations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Highly collaborative with the ability to communicate legal requirements clearly and conversationally to non-legal business teams.
