About the role
Salary Range:
$115,400.00 - $192,300.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic synergy technical manager to AVEVA team and play a key role in driving enablement, and adoption of AVEVA solutions with Schneider Electric. This position will work closely with Schneider Electric sales teams to provide deep technical expertise and solutions guidance to our shared customers and partners to adopt and implement AVEVA into Schneider Electric solutions.
This role requires deep technical expertise in AVEVA solutions, and a strong ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and business stakeholders. This role is responsible to support Schneider Electric country sales teams win more business with AVEVA and support customers through their entire project development cycle.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Self-motivated and driven with a "must win" mindset and a desire to be successful.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a matrix organization, and to influence individuals who do not report to you.
- Must be an early adopter and bring a sense of technical intensity to drive sales growth in this role. Commercial acumen is required.
- Industrial Automation and energy management technical expert with strong ability to build optimized solution architectures for customers, including channel partners, based on broad technical knowledge.
- In-depth understanding of the software market and solid commercial acumen.
- Deep segment understanding across WWW, MMM, CPG (Food processing and Life Science), Energy and Chemicals (including new green energy sub-segments), and Infrastructure including logistics. Automotive is nice to have, and C&SP would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Enablement and Pre-sales Support: Be the first line support to Schneider Electric sales team and its eco-system, support customers on complex software challenges, conduct design audits and architecture assessments for mission-critical software projects, and support demos and presentations at the customer.
- Customer Engagement and Strategic Solutioning: Work closely with key industrial customers and partners, conduct technical discovery sessions, solution workshops and roadmap discussions, lead proof-of-concept projects, pilot deployments and industrial testbeds, engage executive stakeholders on automation strategies and digital transformation roadmaps, and support business development teams.
- Technical Ownership and Best Practices Development: Design and build solution architecture, support creation of technical documentation, playbooks and design guides, conduct technical validation reviews, and work with Schneider Electric COC and LOB teams to optimize system architecture and scalability.
- Training, Enablement and Technical Advocacy: Support the training department with onsite training, create white papers, best practice guides and case studies, represent AVEVA at industry forums and conferences, develop technical marketing content, and engage academic and research organizations.
Deliverables of the Role:
- Demos on AVEVA: Build and maintain a demo area in your country/region, personalize UVP and storytelling to customer use cases, and handle Q&A with examples and references.
- System Architectures: Draw, implement and test AVEVA solutions combined with Schneider Electric architecture, and present outcomes to customers to reduce adoption risks.
- Project Execution and Support: Support the customer and/or System Integrator on successful execution of AVEVA solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction including commercial relationship management.
- Feedback and Documentation: Document processes and changes made on site and during customer engagement, create use cases and success stories, and share knowledge and best practices.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT programming, or code development.
- Embedded Software Engineer background, ideally with strong IT focus. Well versed in IIoT and the convergence of IT and OT. Knowledge of AVEVA solutions, Ops control, PI system, engineering and MES and CONNECT.
- Deep expertise in SCADA/DCS and industrial software.
- Extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale software solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for engineers, customers and executives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging technical and business audiences.
- 4-6 years of experience in industrial software solutions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Travel:
- This role will require approximately 30-50% travel.

Hybrid Working:
We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection. Some positions are fully office-based depending on the nature of the work, and certain roles that support specific customers or markets may be remote. The working arrangement for this position will be confirmed during the hiring process.
