About the role
About The Role & Team
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join Amplitude’s Content Marketing team and help turn our ideas, insights, products, and point of view into content people actually want to engage with. You’ll play a key role in shaping Amplitude’s social presence across channels, working closely with content, brand, communications, product marketing, and subject-matter experts to create content that is timely, distinctive, and native to each platform. You’ll also support executive and thought-leadership content, helping our leaders show up authentically in the conversations shaping AI, analytics, and the future of product development. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable developing a content idea, writing the post, collaborating on creative, and looking at the data to make the next one better.
As a Social Media Manager, you will:
-
Own social content from idea to execution: Develop and manage a social content strategy and editorial calendar across priority channels, creating posts, threads, short-form video concepts, carousels, and other social-first formats.
-
Turn big ideas into great content: Partner with Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand, Communications, and subject-matter experts to translate complex ideas around AI, analytics, product development, and technology into clear, compelling social narratives.
-
Build Amplitude’s point of view: Identify relevant conversations, trends, news, and cultural moments where Amplitude can add a differentiated perspective—and move quickly to create content that earns attention rather than simply filling a calendar.
-
Support executive and thought leadership content: Collaborate with senior leaders and internal experts to develop authentic social content that reflects their perspectives, expertise, and voices while connecting back to Amplitude’s broader narrative.
-
Use data to get better: Monitor channel and content performance, identify patterns and opportunities, and turn those insights into recommendations that improve our content, distribution, and engagement over time.
You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:
-
You’re a strong social-native writer who knows the difference between adapting content for social and simply shrinking a blog post into a LinkedIn post.
-
You have a sharp editorial instinct and can recognize a compelling idea, cultural moment, or contrarian point of view before it becomes obvious to everyone else.
-
You’re curious about AI, technology, analytics, and how products are built—and you enjoy going deep enough on a topic to make the content genuinely interesting.
-
You’re comfortable working with executives, subject-matter experts, designers, and cross-functional partners, and you know how to bring structure to a highly collaborative creative process.
-
You’re excited about using AI tools to research, brainstorm, create, and iterate while maintaining a high bar for originality, accuracy, and human voice.
At a minimum, you need to have:
-
You have 5+ years of experience in social media, content marketing, editorial, communications, or a related field, ideally within B2B technology, SaaS, AI, or another fast-moving industry.
-
You have demonstrated experience creating social content for a company, brand, executive, or community, with examples of your work you can share.
-
You’re an excellent writer and editor with a strong understanding of what makes content effective across platforms such as LinkedIn and X.
-
You’re highly organized and able to manage multiple content streams, stakeholders, deadlines, and feedback without losing momentum.
-
You’re comfortable using social analytics and performance data to evaluate content and inform future decisions.
