Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement UI components using React, building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Build and maintain backend API endpoints in the pod's core language,.NET or Python depending on the service.
- Craft client code that is not just efficient but also performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
- Optimize components for performance across supported browsers, and troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for the code you own.
- Provide accurate status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project methods and tools.
- Gather requirements, validate their understanding amongst the team, and create and maintain relevant documentation.
- Foster collaboration with fellow engineers, designers, and managers to comprehend user pain points and iterate on solutions that drive client success.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Take ownership of assigned work, from technical design through a successful release.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience as a full-stack or front-end-leaning engineer.
- Proficiency in React and its core principles, including component design, state management, and common workflows such as Redux or an equivalent.
- Hands-on backend API development in.NET or Python, including REST endpoint design and consumption.
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of protocols like HTTP and serialization formats like JSON and XML.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of source control tools and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Beginner to intermediate level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, properties).
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Additional Experience Desired:
- TypeScript and modern front-end tooling.
- Experience rendering large or streaming datasets in the browser, including charting and tabular data at volume.
- Exposure to caching layers such as Redis, and to document or time-series databases.
- Containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and unit testing practice.
- Interest in data-heavy operational or monitoring products.
