Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gathering data from primary/secondary sources, cleaning, and validating data integrity to eliminate errors.
- Analysis & Modeling: Interpreting data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies using statistical techniques.
- Reporting & Visualization: Creating interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and reports to present findings to stakeholders.
- Strategic Recommendations: Translating complex analytical results into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Database Management: Querying databases using SQL to extract necessary information.
- Process Improvement: Evaluating internal systems to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Looker Studio.
- Programming: Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is often preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and statistical skills to interpret complex data.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Common Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a data analyst or in a related data role.
